Chicken Bundles

Time for another edition of Recipe from Mom.  I grew up with my mom making chicken bundles, and I love them.  When I was kid I remember that these were not always my favorite meal, but as I got older I grew a new appreciation for some of the recipes that I did not normally enjoy.  I guess my tastebuds grew up too.  These chicken bundles are creamy, and easy to make.  I love the sauce that goes over top tangy yet sweet.  Give these a try they are delicious.

Chicken Bundles

1 8oz tube of Refrigerated Crescent Rolls
1 cup of Bran Buds
5 Tbs of Butter (Melted)
2 Tbs of Onions (Chopped)
1 cup of cooked Chicken
1/8 tsp of Pepper
1/8 tsp of Sage
1/8 tsp of Thyme
1/2 tsp of Lemon Juice (Optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine bran buds, 4 Tbs of Butter, and all of the above ingredients except the crescent rolls. Separate the rolls into 4 squares and fill with chicken mixture. Fold the crescent rolls together and pinch them closed. Brush the bundles with the remaining butter. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes. While the bundles are baking start making the sauce…

White Sauce

1/2 cup of Miracle Whip
1 cup of Milk
2 Tbs of Sugar
Parsley (to taste)

Mix all of the above ingredients together and pour over the chicken bundles when they are done. Serve and Enjoy!
